Expand your piecing skills with Quilting 102. You will learn techniques such as English Paper Piecing, Strip Piecing, Foundation Paper Piecing, Three different methods of Applique, Curved Piecing, Improve, 60 Degree Diamonds, Wedged Piecing and more!

Teach Me to Make

Price: $10.00 each day

July 15th at 10 AM and 6 PM

Instructor: Aleta Treece

If you are a beginner or just want to learn something new this class is for you.  I will teach you to make something you want to make or I will teach you to use your machine. Beginning sewers are most welcome.  Seasoned sewers are most welcome. If you yearn to do something you've never done you are most welcome.

The Royal Iris quilt is constructed using five distinct sections: Group J is comprised of (8) center diamonds; Groups K and L radiate out from the center star in two additional rounds of (8) star points each; Group N is a pieced medallion-style border that prepares the center star for the outer border; and Group D is a pieced and appliquéd medallion border added to the rounds to result in a 99″-square quilt. The quilt blocks were designed by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer.
 

Teach Me to Paper Piece

Have you fallen behind on a paper piecing project or need dedicated time to tackle a new one? This is an open session designed for the experienced paper piecer. It's the perfect opportunity to catch up on missed class instruction, fine-tune your technique, and move your project closer to the finish line with expert guidance available. This is NOT a beginner-level class. Prior paper piecing experience is required to attend.

Crazy Quilt Class

Crazy quilts are a great way to use up those scrap pieces of material that you have laying around the house. Make it fun and whimsical or to represent your favorite season. You'll also learn the history behind a crazy quilt.

Flock Together Fridays AM
Join us for Flock Together Friday and get some quality sewing time! Use our space, away from the distractions and obligations waiting at home, get those UFO's off your back and bust some stash! You can finish it up, or catch up or just enjoy some dedicated sewing time. You'll have access to design wall space, irons, and a cutting table. We'll be available for company and motivation as well as ideas and inspiration. Come sew 10am-4pm for just $7. We have 8 spaces available. Payment guarantees your nest.
